I've been fortunate to be invited to speak at some fantastic International Schools. It's been a brilliant experience and I'm most grateful for the opportunity to present my message to a wider audience and see some beautiful parts of the world - most recently International School of Hamburg, Berlin Metropolitan School, Institut Le Rosey in Switzerland and IBS Provence in France.
The language skills of students and staff i've met in Schools in Europe blow my mind - they're just outstanding and i've been inspired to put more effort into my ongoing studies of French and German. I hope one day hope to be able to give a talk in both languages but it's slow going at the moment!
In advance of my visit to International School of Hamburg I was asked to send a copy of my monologue in English. I thought this a brilliant idea and its something I now provide to all International Schools that ask.
I've decided to make it available here. This is the text of monologue I perform at the start of my presentation [for Secondary School Year 7 upwards]. No performance is the same and the text continues to evolve but this is up to date for Jan 2025.
