I recently had the great privilege of speaking at The International School of Toulouse (IST) for Anti-Bullying Week 2025. As part of the ongoing commitment to strengthen the Anti-Bullying culture, I was lucky enough to speak to teaching staff, students from Grades 6-12 and parents in separate presentations over two days - a highly effective method that gives all members of the school community the same empowering messages, skills, strategies and knowledge to ensure an inclusive, safe and supportive environment for everyone.

The Importance of Anti-Bullying Education in Schools

Bullying can take many forms, including physical aggression, verbal abuse, social exclusion, and cyberbullying. Its effects are far-reaching, often leading to anxiety, depression, and lowered self-esteem among students. Schools play a crucial role in preventing bullying by fostering awareness and teaching empathy.
