MY NEW ANTI-BULLYING PRESENTATION!

Bullying and negative influences online remain a serious challenge for young people today and I'm very excited to share news of my new presentation, with messages about Anti-Bullying, Internet safety and social media awareness.
The new talk is called GURU and it's designed to engage pupils in thinking about who they are allowing to influence them and shape their sense of identity as they grow up.
GURU is a part two, or sequel or follow up to my Anti-Bullying Presentation THE BOY IN THE PHOTOGRAPH and is presented in a similar format and relatable style.
The talk tells a personal story about identity and how it is shaped by external voices, including peers, family, and increasingly, social media influencers who can have a strong impact during vulnerable years.

The story highlights how positive messages can build confidence, but negative or manipulative messages can cause harm. It warns about the risks of allowing anyone to become a mentor or guru without critical thinking. This cautionary tale helps young people understand that not all influencers have their best interests at heart.
After the performance, I lead an interactive workshop, which includes:
Group discussion about experiences with social media.
Video clips illustrating real-life examples of positive/negative influence
Practical strategies for recognizing and protecting against harmful messages
Tips for building a strong, positive identity despite external pressures
This combination of storytelling and active participation makes the message powerful.
Booking GURU can help:
Engage pupils with a compelling story and interactive format
Foster discussions that promote empathy and self-respect
Provides tools pupils can use immediately to protect themselves
Encourage critical thinking about who to trust online
Pupils see the connection between bullying, online behavior, and mental health.
